Sales and Administrative Assistant

AffordableWebdesign.com provides web site design, e-commerce development, database application, web hosting, online marketing and other internet related services. We are looking for a qualified, hard-working, part-time sales/marketing representative. We offer a competitive guaranteed base salary with a lucrative, limitless commission plan.

Job Title: Sales and Administrative Assistant

Status: Part Time 15-20 hours a week (with potential to develop into full-time position)

Rate of Pay: Base salary $15-20 /hour DOE and 3%-5% commission on closed sales. (valid only during employment with AWD). Benefits are not offered to part-time positions.

Work Schedule: 15-20 hours per week, 4-6 hours per day. (flexible hours can be arranged between 8 AM and 5 PM weekdays)

Work Location: 14017 Sterling Point Dr. Gainesville, VA 20155. (1 or 2 days per week can be done off-site via a virtual office environment. Dedicated access to a home office environment (PC, internet connection, printer) and private phone line (landline or mobile) is required for off-site work.

Responsibilities Include:

  • On a daily basis, cultivate new web site design business via the use of email, face-to-face appointments, and telephone prospecting.
  • Create and maintain prospect/client databases.
  • Produce and send letters, proposals, emails, etc.
  • Make presentations to generate new business with AWD product lines.
  • Ensure profitability by adhering to pricing as established by management.
  • Provide follow up to proposals (via phone and/or e-mail)
  • Write and edit web content.
  • Perform various office admin work (printing letters, mailing etc.) or other duties as assigned or directed
  • From time to time, you may attend Chamber of Commerce events, BNI meetings or other association events to represent our Company for business development purposes.
  • If requested by prospective client, you will meet with clients in person.

Skills Required:

  • A proven track record of success in sales. Strong closing skills and prior experience in marketing or business to business sales would be an advantage.
  • Aptitude for building relationships and providing excellent customer service. Able to use tact and patience when dealing with customers.
  • Ability to motivate and influence key contacts and decision makers
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (both in person and via phone). Listening skills are just as important as speaking skills.
  • Creative and articulate presentation skills .Computer skills: we expect that you know how to format and create professional documents, and work with a team on proposal development.

You must be self-motivated, confident and articulate and maintain a professional appearance and demeanor. You must have a positive attitude, excellent communication skills, an outgoing personality and the ability to work independently.
